That's right. Sunday, March 27, 2011, Jaden ate cereal for the first time. Well, lets say he spit out cereal from his mouth for the very first time. So now for the rest of his life, Jaden isn't just having formual - but actual food. It's a big step, and he handled it well. We sat Jaden in his bumbo chair, and daddy fed him while mommy videoed. Here is Jaden eating the next day - his second time to try out cereal. He still isn't too impressed.
Also this weekend we put together his jumper that we got from all my friends at Monument Academy. He LOVES it! He hasn't figured out the jumping part yet, but he is intrigued by all of the new toys.
What a sweet boy he is! Matt and I are so incredibly blessed that God gave him to us through adoption. It is wonderful to see him exploring new things all of the time. He now loves touching our faces - especially Matt's when it is a little rougher before he shaves. He is so adorable! We love you Jaden!
Last Saturday and Sunday were huge days for the Burden family. Jaden's first time change wasn't the biggest topic at our house. Although he did great with the change. Since he wakes up early every morning anyways, we just pretended that he actually slept in to around 6 or 7am. He was alright, and it made me feel better to at least think I got extra rest. :) So what were the big firsts of the weekend...
He finally did it! After many days of trying and almost getting there, he finally rolled over! Saturday night, March 12 Jaden rolled over in his crib while he was swaddled. Then the next day Jaden rolled over for the first time while on a blanket on the floor. We was holding his ball, dropped it, and really wanted it back. So he rolled to his side, which he does a lot, but this time he had enough drive to roll over his arm and elbow and land on his tummy. Way to go Jaden!!! This is one proud momma!!! Here are some pictures from my cell phone that I was able to snap as he rolled over.
Jaden is about to roll over his arm for the first time to get his ball. That arm has been the only thing holding him back.
He just did it! Way to go Jaden!!! He didn't cry or anything. He just looked at that ball trying to figure out how he was going to get it. So cute!

Here he is trying to get to that ball. He is getting those legs up and ready to go. He just hasn't figured out to move his arms. Look out world once he does!

A few days later I was able to capture Jaden rolling over 2 different times. What an amazing boy Matt and I have been blessed with!

Finally, Jaden's last first of the weekend was going from 5 ouces to 6 ounces in his bottle. Most of the time he drinks it all and loves it! After all of those firsts this weekend, we had a very exhausted Jaden...
